Lone Wolf Syndrome

Rome wasn't built in a day.

It also wasn't built by just one dude sitting alone in his room waiting to spout genius out of his noggin'.

You can't make energy out of nothing.

It's got to come from somewhere, or someone.

You need a community of like-minded creative people to inspire you.

Action Plan

1. Find at least three creative groups to join. You can find them through MeetUp, Facebook, school, work, church, local theaters, adult education centers, or by checking out flyers around town. I recommend starting with MeetUp, it's how I found my writing group!

2. Try all three groups for at least two sessions and pick your favorite.

3. Commit to regularly attending the group you liked best.

Bonus points: invite people to do things outside of the group setting.

Then you'll make friends twice as fast!
