YOUR KILLER IS…

Not Yet an Artist.

TAKE QUIZ AGAIN

"I'm not a real writer." "I'm not a musician, I just play around." "I'm not an actor, I've got a day job."

Names are powerful things.

If you don't call yourself a creator yet, you're cutting yourself off at the knees.

But it's not as easy as waving a magic wand and suddenly becoming "real."

Feeling real, in your heart, takes time (thank you, Velveteen Rabbit).

Action Plan

  1. Visualize a "real" artist, writer, musician, whatever it is you want to be but you don't feel like you are yet. List everything about them that you imagine.

  2. Pick one key thing, the most important trait, that makes a "real" creator.

  3. Write out the steps you need to take to have that trait or accomplish that goal.

I’ll admit it. Mine was about money.

I felt like I could say "I'm a writer," with full confidence once someone paid me to write.

Once I got that first contract, I said it with my full heart, because I did it. I'm a writer!

What's your goal to become "real"?
